How do add-on services work?

If you offer your clients a few extras in addition to your regular services, like a special treat or cleaning the litter box, you can add it as an add-on service!


Viewing and creating add-ons

From your Services & pricing, you can view and create add-ons in each category. When adding a new service, switch the toggle on to indicate that it's an add-on service. Once an add-on has been created, it can't be changed back to a regular service. Add-ons are specific to each service category and will be displayed in their own section apart from your normal services in each category. Like normal services though, you can drag and drop to customize the order that your add-ons appear in your services menu, which also determines the order that your clients see them when they request appointments.

Scheduling services with add-ons

When adding appointments on behalf of your clients, you'll be able to choose any add-ons after selecting the primary service that's being provided. On the summary page, you'll see your add-on listed under the primary service within each appointment. If you have multiple add-ons for an appointment, you'll see an add-on tag instead, which shows the number of add-ons booked, and you can tap or hover over the tag to see the specific add-ons. We'll also include your add-ons in the estimated cost section at the bottom of your booking summary to show how much your selected add-ons contribute to the total cost of the service booked.

How can I tell if an appointment has add-ons?

If an appointment has add-ons, you'll see them listed from the appointment details view of your schedule. If you need to modify the service or add-ons, just tap modify to make changes.

Since add-ons are part of an appointment, you won't need to mark each of them as complete. Each add-on completed with your appointments are automatically added to your invoices too! To remove an add-on service from an appointment, you'll need to modify the appointment.

What do pet parents see on their end?

When pet parents request appointments with you, they'll see available add-ons once they select the service that they'd like to book. They can select as many of your available add-ons as they'd like before proceeding to choose their desired appointment date(s).


On the summary page, we'll show the selected add-ons below their requested services, and each add-on will also be included in the estimated cost displayed before they submit their request.

On the business side, once the request is received, you'll see an add-on tag on the request card for the appointment.
