How do I request overnight care over a date range?

If your pet care provider offers overnight care services you can book them directly from your pet parent portal on your desktop, petpocketbook.com on your mobile device, or directly from the PetPocketbook app.

On a desktop, on the Appointments tab, you can tap request an appointment or tap the red plus sign in the top right hand corner.

Choose which pet(s) you'd like to request care for and then tap the red arrow to progress and select your service type. All pets will be selected by default, and you'll need to deselect any pets that don't need care for this request.

You'll then be prompted to choose from the appropriate Service Category. Since we are booking an overnight service, you'd choose Overnights.

If your pet care provider is offering Overnight services that are listed as "all day", please note that PetPocketbook estimates a daily charge by default. If your pet care provider typically charges you a nightly rate, they will adjust the pricing of the request before approving it.

Once you've selected the correct service, you'll then be prompted to select a date range for your requested dates. You will want to select the first day you need care and through to the last day you need care (your return date).


After you've selected your date range, you'll then be prompted to select a desired arrival time on the first day of care and also a desired departure time on the last day of care. This information helps your pet care provider understand your request and the times you've selected will automatically be added as special notes on the first and last day of your request.



On the final page, tap let's review.

You'll be shown an overview of your request, and you'll be able to add any additional special instructions before submitting your request.

If you need to make any adjustments, you can tap on any of the spaces where it says who, what, when to go back to those steps in your request.

Once you're ready, tap request appointment! Once requested, your overnight request will live in the pending requests section of your Appointments page until your pet care provider accepts your request.

You'll be notified via email or push notification in the PetPocketbook app whether it's been a approved!
