How do I change my prices?

To change your pricing, head to the Services & Pricing tab of your Settings page and tap into the service that you’d like to update.

On the edit service screen that pops up, you'll be able to update the price for the service that you selected. Once you change the price for this service, a new field appears below the price field(s) allowing you to choose the date when you want your new price to start taking effect.

The effective date by default is set to the current date, but you can change it to whichever date you need it to be, even if it's in the past. It’s important to note that your new price does not go into effect until each client’s first billing period that starts on or after the effective date you choose. This way, you’ll never run into a scenario where a client receives an invoice with two different prices for the same service.

For example, let’s say you’re billing weekly. Your current billing period is Monday 2/21 to Sunday 2/27, and today is Wednesday 2/23. If you change the price on a service and leave the effective date as today, your new price would not go into effect until Monday 2/28 because that is the beginning of the first billing period after your chosen effective date. Any appointments in the current billing period (Monday 2/21 through Sunday 2/27) will still use your original rate. If you want the appointments in the current billing period to be on the new price, we'd need to change the effective date to Monday 2/21 (i.e. the start of the current billing period).

⚠️ If you charge a different rate for additional pets in the same family for this service, make sure that the "Charge a different rate per additional pet" toggle is turned on in the Options section of the edit service form. This includes if additional pets are free of charge, in which case you can set the additional pet price to $0. Learn more
