How do I remove a staff member from my account?
If you need to remove a staff member from your account, it is easy to do that and reassign any existing appointments to another member of your team! Just head to your Staff tab, select the person that you'd like to remove and tap the "remove staff" link.
If the staff member that you're trying to remove still has future appointments assigned to their schedule, you'll be shown a list of all their upcoming appointments, separated by repeating vs. one-time appointments.
From here, you'll need to either archive or re-assign these appointments to someone else before this staff member can be removed from your account. You can select multiple appointments at the same time before tapping on "remove" to archive or "edit" to reassign the appointments.
If you tapped the "edit" button, a screen appears that prompts you to choose the staff member that you'd like to reassign your selected appointments to. This will only change the assigned staff on the selected appointments, so you won't lose any service, time, and/or date changes made to individual appointments that belong to any repeating appointments that you're re-assigning!
Once you've archived or reassigned all future appointments still assigned to this staff member, you'll be shown a confirmation page where you can confirm the removal of this staff member from your account.
I need to remove someone's access immediately and don't have time to figure out how to reassign everything that's still on their schedule. Can I do that?
Of course! We understand that sometimes things don't work out, and you need to immediately remove a staff member's access to your account to protect your business and your clients' information. That's why we have a deactivate feature, which allows you to remove that person's access to their PetPocketbook account for your business without removing them from your schedule or staff list.
Once a staff has been deactivated, they'll still appear in your staff list, just labeled as deactivated. If something changes, and you want to restore their access, you can still do that from the deactivated staff's profile.
💡Whether a staff member is removed or deactivated, you will still be able to see their historical activity throughout PetPocketbook (schedules, payroll summaries, etc.).
