Zapier lets PetPocketbook share information with other apps you use, such as your CRM, email marketing platform, or Google Sheets. You don’t need to know how to code to use Zapier. You choose what should happen (for example, adding a new PetPocketbook family to your CRM), and Zapier runs that process automatically.
How does Zapier work?
An automated workflow in Zapier is called a Zap. Each Zap has two main parts:
A trigger is the event that starts the workflow, such as a new family being created in PetPocketbook.
An action is what Zapier does next in another app, such as creating a new contact in your CRM.
For example: A new family is added in PetPocketbook → Zapier create a contact for that family in your CRM
Once you test and turn on the Zap, it runs automatically in the background whenever the selected trigger occurs.
Do I need Zapier?
Zapier may be useful if you regularly copy information from PetPocketbook into another app.
For example, you could use it to:
Add new families to your CRM.
Add new families to an email marketing list.
Create follow-up tasks for your team.
Add family information to a Google Sheet.
Connect PetPocketbook to another app your business uses.
If you don’t use other business apps or don’t have repetitive tasks like these, you may not need Zapier.
Before you get started
Zapier is a separate, third-party service. You’ll need a Zapier account in addition to your PetPocketbook account.
Zapier offers different plans with their own features and usage limits. Depending on the workflow you create, you may need a paid Zapier plan. You can review Zapier’s current plans and pricing before getting started.
When you connect PetPocketbook to another app, the information needed for your workflow will be transferred through Zapier.
PetPocketbook triggers
PetPocketbook currently supports the following Zapier triggers:
Trigger | Description |
New family created | Starts a Zap whenever a new family is added to PetPocketbook. |
Family updated | Starts a Zap whenever a family's information changes, including updates to either human or pet information. |
Family removed | Starts a Zap whenever a family is removed from PetPocketbook. |
These triggers begin a workflow in Zapier. What happens next depends on the action you choose in the app you connect.
Available templates
We've created several ready-to-use templates for some of the tools we commonly hear PetPocketbook businesses are already using. These templates give you a starting point without requiring you to build a Zap from scratch.
CRMs
If you use Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or Constant Contact, you can automatically add new PetPocketbook families to your audience:
If you use GoHighLevel, you can:
Because PetBizCRM is built on the GoHighLevel platform, these templates will also be compatible with PetBizCRM.
Reporting and internal tracking
Our Google Sheets template adds a spreadsheet row when a family is created or updated in PetPocketbook. This may be useful if you already use a spreadsheet for reporting or internal tracking.
Create your own Zap
You aren't limited to the templates above. They reflect some of the common tools and workflows we've heard about from the PetPocketbook community, but you can also build your own Zap.
To create a custom Zap:
Choose one of PetPocketbook's supported triggers.
Choose the app you want to connect.
Choose what Zapier should do in that app.
The actions available will depend on the app you connect. Zapier supports thousands of apps, so you may be able to create a workflow for a tool that isn’t included in our current templates.
View PetPocketbook on Zapier to use a template or create your own workflow.
