How do I check or change the access level given to a staff member?

How to check your staff member's permission level or how to change your staff member's permission level in PetPocketbook

To check what access level a staff member is set to in PetPocketbook, head to your Staff tab on a desktop computer.

Then select the staff member you wanted to double-check, and you'll see their current permission level right underneath their name.

When we set up your account prior to your onboarding, we typically set each of your team at the basic "Staff" level with the least permissions, unless otherwise discussed.

To give a staff member access to your PetPocketbook account, follow these steps:

  1. Invite the Staff Member: Navigate to the Staff tab in the blue main navigation menu on a desktop computer and tap the coral plus sign to add new staff member. You will need your new staff member's email address, first name, and last name.

  2. Assign an Access Level: When adding the staff member, select the appropriate role based on what they need to view or manage. Staff roles determine access to areas such as scheduling, clients, and billing. Ensure the permissions align with their responsibilities.

PetPocketbook offers different staff roles, each with specific permissions. Selecting the correct role is crucial for maintaining account security and operational efficiency. By understanding these roles, you can ensure that staff members have the tools they need to perform their duties without compromising sensitive information.

To change a staff member's access level, simply tap the "edit" button. On the edit page, you'll see "Access level" at the top and can choose the level you want to assign from the dropdown menu. Just remember to save!

By carefully assigning roles, you can ensure that staff members have the tools they need to perform their duties effectively while maintaining the security of sensitive information.

⚠️ Keep in mind that only Owner level users have the ability to make changes to staff settings!
