How can I see the estimated total for an invoice before services?

Updated over a month ago

If you need an estimate of the total cost of services on a draft invoice before services happen, you can see a preview once the draft has been created!

🤔Drafts are created at the beginning of each client’s billing period (if they have services during that period) or as you complete an appointment or add an additional charge/discount adjustment to their account, whichever comes first.

This is especially helpful if you collect payment ahead of services or ask clients to pay a deposit before services.

You’ll see any draft invoices we’ve created in the draft container of your Invoices tab. Draft invoices are grouped by the date they’re scheduled to be sent to your clients. As services are completed, we’ll automatically add up the total cost to your clients.

You can tap into a draft to see a breakdown by service, including the dates of service and any adjustments. Tap preview” to see what the total would be at the end of the billing period for that client were all of their appointments to be completed as scheduled.

In the preview, you’ll see the total cost of services, including any appointments that have not been completed yet. Notice that the invoice total in the preview screenshot is $184.80 instead of the $13.40 that we see on the draft invoice above, which reflects only the cost of services completed to date.

If you’d like to share this as an estimate with your client, you can take a screenshot or print the preview page as a PDF! Once you’ve saved a copy, you can use the in-app messenger to send the photo or PDF right to your client! 🙌
