How do I send my clients a bill right away?


PetPocketbook automatically bills your clients based on a frequency of your choosing, whether that’s daily, weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly. 


But what happens if an overnight is ending well before the end of your client’s set billing frequency? Maybe a client is moving away, and you want to close out their bill earlier than scheduled. Or maybe you just want to bill your client right at the end of service – when a pet parent is picking up their dog at the end of a training session, a grooming appointment, or daycare. 


That’s where our “bill now” feature comes in. 


To do this, locate the draft invoice that you’d like to send to your client, and simply tap “Bill now” after double checking that all the appointments that you’d like to bill for on this invoice have been completed. This bill will now automatically appear in your Sent Invoices container.



⚠️ You will be prompted to confirm that you’d like to send this invoice immediately, which once sent cannot be undone. You also cannot edit bills that have already been sent. If you’ve made a mistake, you can add an adjustment on your client’s next bill to account for it.  


After the bill has been sent, any appointments you complete for your client afterward will be added to a new draft invoice for them and automatically sent at their typical billing frequency.


If the family has a payment method on file in PetPocketbook, and if AutoPay is turned on, they'll get charged immediately, too! 🥳
