What is the difference between cancelling and archiving appointments?
When you need to remove an appointment, you have the option to either cancel or archive it. So what's the difference? 🤔
Canceling will send the client an email to notify them that the appointment has been canceled and can potentially trigger your cancellation policy if you have one set up. The staff member assigned to the appointment will also get an email notification if the cancellation is happening on the same day as the appointment itself. You will still be able to access canceled appointments in the Cancellations section of either the Appointments tab in your client’s profile or your Schedule tab.
Alternatively, if you’ve made an administrative error and would like to remove an appointment entirely from your schedule and history, you may want to archive it. Archiving an appointment will not send any email notifications, and there is no history of archived appointments in your PetPocketbook portal (although we do still have a record of it on the backend on our side, just in case 😜).
