How do I add my payment information?

When you make your first online payment through PetPocketbook you can easily add your credit/debit card or bank information. If you don't have a payment method saved in PetPocketbook yet, the "make a payment" button on your invoicing page will direct you to add a payment method to your account. 

You can also update your payment method at any time by going to your "Billing Settings" page. You'll find this tab in your blue main navigation bar on the left of your screen on desktop (or by tapping the three stacked horizontal lines at the top left corner of PetPocketbook on your mobile device).


Adding a bank account

If you choose to pay through bank transfer, you can connect to your bank by either using your online banking credentials or by entering your account and routing numbers.  

Using your online banking credentials

We've partnered with Plaid to support instant account verification by using your online banking credentials to link your account. Plaid is the same service provider that Venmo uses to link up bank accounts, so you might already be familiar with the process! Using this method, you'll be able to make a payment out of your bank account immediately upon linking your account.

Using your account and routing numbers

If you choose to enter your account information manually, you can tap the "show" button in each field to double check your work and make sure that you've entered the correct account and routing numbers. 

Once your account has been added, you'll need to wait for two microdeposits to be deposited into your bank account to verify your account, before you can make a payment from this account. These microdeposits usually take 1-3 business days to show up in your bank account and will subsequently be taken back out of your account. These are not charges from PetPocketbook; we are depositing two small amounts into your bank account and then withdrawing what we had deposited. Account verification using microdeposits is an industry standard to ensure that you've linked the correct account before you start making payments out of it. 

You'll receive an email from us with a link that'll take you to the account verification page in your pet parent portal, where you can enter the two microdeposit amounts that you received. Upon successfully verifying your bank account, you'll then be able to make payments from this account to your pet care provider in PetPocketbook.
