How do I connect to QuickBooks?
Our QuickBooks integration is still in beta. If you'd like to participate, please reach out to us via our in-app support widget or via email at support@petpocketbook.com, and we'd be happy to walk you through how our integration works and help you get set up! Please note that you will need a QuickBooks Online account to be able to connect using our integration. QuickBooks has a lot of products, so please double check that you are on one of their QuickBooks Online plans!

If you've already received your exclusive invite to our QuickBooks integration beta, thank you so much for participating! To connect PetPocketbook to QuickBooks, head over to the Settings page on your account where you'll now see a new Integrations tab at the bottom of your settings menu. Tap on the QuickBooks integration card in our new integrations directory to access our QuickBooks integration page.
⚠️ Please note that this tab is currently only available on desktop and will not be visible while using our mobile web app!
From the QuickBooks integration page, tap the connect button to begin.
You'll first be prompted to choose the date that you'd like your data to sync from.
- If you are a current PetPocketbook company, you are welcome to select a date as far back as when you first went live on our platform! That said, if you've been using QuickBooks as well during this time, you may be creating duplicate invoice and payment records in your QuickBooks account by backdating depending on how you've been using QuickBooks. Please refer to our integration FAQs for more detail on what data gets synced into your QuickBooks Online account when you connect!
- If you are new to PetPocketbook and don't have any invoicing or payment data in your account yet, feel free to select today's date since there's no historical data in PetPocketbook yet!
Once you've selected your start date and tapped connect, you'll see a confirmation screen just to make sure that there's no surprises about what to expect, since we'll be importing data from your selected time range once you connect PetPocketbook with your QuickBooks Online account, and once begun, this import cannot be paused or undone!
Once you've confirmed that you'd like to proceed, you'll be redirected to QuickBooks to login to your account. After signing in, we'll immediately begin syncing your historical invoicing and payments data in PetPocketbook into your QuickBooks Online account as of the date that you had selected. If you have a lot of data, this might take some time!
If you've successfully connected via our integration, you should receive two email confirmations. The first is an email from QuickBooks alerting you that you've connected PetPocketbook to your QuickBooks Online account. The latter is an email from us letting you know when the initial import of your historical data has been completed. When you receive the latter, you'll then be able to head on into your QuickBooks Online account to check out the data that's been imported!
