How do I read my payroll breakdown?
In the compensation summary, the green bars represent the number of visits you have completed by service type in this billing period. Similarly, the blue bars represent the amount of money you have earned for each service type you completed in this billing period.
Because prices and staff compensation can differ for additional pets in multi-pet families, we show these additional pets in a separate gold bar in your payroll breakdown. The gold bar beneath your visit count for each service represents the number of additional pets that you cared for on your visits, and the gold bar beneath each blue bar shows the corresponding compensation so that you can easily add up the numbers on the page.
Example: In the screenshot below, we can see from the green bars that Chris completed 5 Standard group walks. The gold bar shows that he cared for 2 additional pets on those 5 visits. This tells us that Chris took care of 7 pets in total across 5 families. The company pays $12.50 for each walk and $5 for each additional pet in the same family on the same walk. That is why we see $62.50 (5 x $12.50) for Chris' standard group walk compensation (the blue bar) and $10 (2 x $5) for additional pet compensation in gold.
For a detailed breakdown of staff compensation for the pay period you’re viewing on screen, tap the download csv button at the top of your screen, and an email will be sent to you at the email address associated with your account with the following spreadsheets:
- Compensation breakdown by appointment and by pet. This includes base compensation and additional earnings from surcharges and fees.
- Tips paid by client.
⚠️ Each staff member can export a report for their own compensation while humans with “owner” level access can also download a report for all staff.
Here’s a sample compensation report for all staff broken down by staff name, appointment date, appointment time, service name, pet name, whether it’s an additional pet in a multi-pet family, and compensation for that pet. This report for an individual staff member looks exactly the same, except that it includes only appointments completed by that particular individual.
Below is a sample tips report for all staff broken down by the client who paid the tip, pet name(s), payment date, tip amount, and the staff member who was given the tip. Just like the compensation report, the tips report for an individual staff member looks exactly the same, except that it includes only tips allocated to that particular individual.
